Fan Problems

A while back I enjoyed doing a post on cruiser problems, so I thought it would be fun to go a bit more broad and do general BSB fan problems. And a special section of Spoiled BSB fan problems as well. Enjoy!

Top 5 of 2012

As we're already starting off 2013, which promises to be a big year in the Backstreet world with their 20th anniversary coming up, I thought I'd reflect back on 2012 and go through my favorite BSB moments of 2012. Sorry for the delay on this!

5. Mixtape Festival
Mixtape was a lot of fun and I got a chance to see a bunch of my friends who flew in for the event. Plus I got to see some other amazing artists I probably wouldn't have otherwise seen. It was great to be part of the very last performance by NKOTBSB, take part of the first ever BSBBQ, and see Brian & Leighanne at the Wylee party. Overall a wonderful weekend!
The only reason this unfortunately fell to the bottom of my BSB list was due to all the unnecessary drama that surrounded the event with how incredibly disorganized the event was.

4. New Years Eve Concert
I was quite fortunate to take part of the Backstreet Boys New Years Eve concert. This was a fantastic show that I got to spend with my friends. The format reminded me a lot of the cruise concert- nothing too fancy. No pyro or costume changes. Just good ole fashion BSB with a bunch of the favorite classics sprinkled with a few ones we don't get to hear as often like Don't Want You Back. The show didn't have the production value as some of their tours, but that didn't make it any less enjoyable. It was such a fun and memorable way to ring in the New Year!

3. Good Morning America
This was a really amazing event for a bunch of different reasons. First being that it was the first event with Kevin back. It was so sweet to see how choked up he got singing his part in IWITW. It was also great to see his wife and son singing and dancing along on the side. The other reason I really enjoyed this event is because I had never been to a live event like this before with the Backstreet Boys. I found it really neat to see all the "behind the scenes" things that are going on when they're on commercial break; how they rehearse; and even came out to give us breakfast before they went on air!

2. Nick's I'm Taking Off Tour
I really enjoyed Nick's solo tour and I thought he put on an amazing show from start to finish. Great mix of his old and new songs, covers, and BSB stuff. It's always nice to see any of the guys in a more intimate setting. I think this nears the top of my list because it was nice to see Nick outside of BSB and I found him to be a lot more personable and himself during his solo show. And you can't call yourself a true fan until you've waited hours outside in the February cold for a GA show.

1. NKOTBSB in Geneva
My favorite event this year was seeing NKOTBSB in Geneva. Even though I had seen the show a few times before in the states, it ended up being one of my favorites. I got to meet the guys; do a sound check party backstage, which ended up being unique in that it was just a big Q&A with no songs. Above all, they allowed me the opportunity to travel and see places I probably never otherwise would've gotten to see. And I was able to share the experience with some of my best friends.
